The problem
Staff activity and hours were tracked by hand and collected at the end of each period. Supervisors could not see what happened across the organisation without chasing people.
What was built
An account-based web app: employees log their daily actions from a phone; supervisors review activity across the organisation, filter by person and period, and see total worked hours on a dashboard.
How it runs
React + TypeScript front end with shadcn/ui, Supabase for Postgres, authentication and row-level security, deployed as a static site. Design-verification testing before launch and support through the summer.
Outcome
Adopted by 30+ employees with 1,000+ entries in the first two months. PLAY reported data collection about 50% faster than the manual process.
